Irish Skipper Expo 2010
Galway Bay Hotel | 26th and 27th February 2010
BIM at the Irish Skipper Expo 2010
In addition to the BIM stand and two of BIM’s mobile Coastal Training Units which will be based in the car park, the BIM seminar programme will again be aiming to inform and debate topics relevant to the Irish fishing industry. The talks for the 2010 Skipper Expo will be focusing on three themes: Inshore Fisheries Management and the Environment, Profitability and Markets and Safety at Sea. This year, BIM are pleased to introduce a number of industry speakers to give you the opportunity to listen to their accounts of the projects on which they have worked in partnership with BIM. We hope that this full and varied seminar programme will give you a good insight into BIM’s work on our inshore fisheries.

At 12 noon on Friday 26th, the Minister of State at the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, Mr. Tony Killeen, T.D will give his address and present eight young students with their FETAC Commercial Fishing certificates at the BIM seminar theatre.
